Wow I love this game, you've done a fantastic job with the storyline and world-building. I'm so invested already! Unfortunately I think the chapter navigation is broken (at least in the Windows free version). I was only able to play Warren's first chapter. Nothing else was accessible. Will this be fixed soon?
It's nice to know the MC is a female, as I've played some Otome games that are R18 but without a proper identification of the MC - the scenes felt more male gaze versus female - I couldn't get into it. 😭
This game is great, I kept playing for hours. The choices really matter, and all the characters are interesting and complexes. Keep up the good work! I will definitely buy it with more updates.

This is so good! I love Nox and I can't wait for the next update. In the time being does anyone have any recommendations for anything similar, doesn't need to be from Itch io? There are so many VNs on here that claim to be some sort od really hardcore dark romance but end up being the most basic vanilla sht I've ever seen

i can only think of three other games that are similar and the rate of progress on them is .... concerning. forcefully yours has a free demo on here with a lot of content, but unfortunately the dev has been missing for a few years now. i played the demo for sterile desires when it was free and it was definitely dark (there's non-con), but the demo now costs $10 (i think it's a full chapter) and they haven't even updated it on itchio in a year and a half. i don't want to criticise anybody for how they choose to value their work, but personally, i wouldn't want to pay that much for an incomplete demo and no assurance that i'd ever even get a complete product. there's also "yours game" which also has non-con, but it's a short demo and also hasn't been updated for a while. all that to say, we're definitely being spoiled by soapinsoup xD
since you said you're looking for dark romance, i'm assuming you dont want a pure horrorporn murdersim like boyfriend to death. if, however. you're looking for a murdersim with yanderes, you can try the two games by mr fishess. courtin' cowboys is about $9 for the full game. you can see the warnings on the game page and decide if it's up your alley. if i recall correctly, two of the characters are yanderes. the other characters are either normal or just sadistic/psychos. there's a ton of content and many endings, so it's definitely worth the price imo. lovers trophy is $2 and has a lot less content, and i think only one of the two male leads is actually a yandere (the brunet guy). this game does have a demo if you wanna try it first.
if you want something EVEN DARKER to the point there's technically no romance and it's pure horror (but it's still starring a yandere), you can try wh4t 1 w0ulndt d0, which is free. there's also fall into prayer, which is super short but also more dark in overall theme.

Short stories were small concept stories when I developed the main characters. Just some fluff and cute stuff, even interaction stories (exploring relationship dynamics between two of the characters)
I intend to add quite a few. <3 to make it worth the small pricetag.
Oh yes and no murdersim, more or less it's forced pleasure ;) the only deaths that may occur is between yanderes

There is Theory of Fear, it used to be on Steam but it's been banned in my country, not sure if it's available for other countries. When you find it somewhere, you might enjoy it. It's the darkest visual novel I played so far, there are several levels of non-con and violence. It's also explicit.
I put the tags there for that reason, also that this is fictional, I was also a victim myself at one point when a date put their hands on me a decade ago. It wasn't easy, but I had to deal with things in a my own way, I do not recommend it to a rape victim AT ALL, this game does not represent what happens in reality it's pure fiction.
The game is a mix of rape/dubious consent where it becomes a twisted love in some way. It's meant to cater to the act of forced love as a fetish, and not to represent the extreme act of rape as a whole. These guys would all be in jail if they were real people.
Real rape I do not condone, it's horrible, and wrong.
I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone who forced into those situations in real life. The approach is meant to be different in the sense, for those interested in yanderes, obsessive love.
It's a chapter undergoing modifications. It's not really meant too have jokes, Octavius is extremely petty. Abnormally so, I can focus on making him a bit darker if that's what everyone wants.
This is the second comment I got in one day about it the exact same thing. so this situation actually has me super frustrated that it's upsetting a bunch of people all at the same time. It's a bit difficult to deal with. I don't have a team of people to consult with since I'm just one person doing everything. So I'll need to reconsidure my position on the game.
Please, author, don't reconsider anything. Just listen what your instincts and inspiration are telling you. Art under external pressure is no longer art. It will sound trite, but create what your heart tells you, and don't break under pressure from people who have different views, especially if they can't distinguish fiction from real life. Games like yours should be our safe space, where artists can express themselves and we, the readers, cam indulge our fetishes, and not be lectured.

there's nothing wrong with the way you've depicted anything -- this is a dark fantasy and it's by definition going to be unrealistic. of course the mc isn't going to behave like an irl victim. it wouldnt be fetish content if they did, it'd be horror.
fetish content is a safe way for people to indulge in the fantasies that they have. for many people, these fantasies are born from trauma -- hence why it's harmful to generalise by saying this content harms victims. no group of people is a monolith. although this content can be triggering to some victims, there are equally valid victims who actually consume it to help reclaim their power and to process their trauma. the reader has the choice to not read if they know it has the potential to harm them. as a writer, your only responsibility is to provide ample warning, which you do.
REAL ABUSERS harm victims, not fiction. just like real murderers harm people, not slasher horror movies. are you a psychopath if you enjoy slasher movies? no, of course not. it's interesting how people understand there's a difference between fantasy/fiction and reality in most things, but not when it comes to sexual fantasies.
fantasies are fantasy for a reason. the reader understands it isn't real, they understand it's just fiction and an unrealistic/fetishised depiction of events. they know they're safe, they consented by choosing to read (and they can stop at any time). they know it would be immoral for these things to happen irl (and they dont want to engage in these things irl), and that the victim wouldn't behave the way depicted.
if they don't understand these things, then that's not your fault. they have a personal responsibility of not consuming media that they arent capable of handling, especially when they read the trigger warnings and chose to ignore them apparently. you cant babysit people on the internet. just focus on making the content that you want to make, and that you know your target audience (the people who like darker content) actually like.
when you get criticism from anyone who isnt a part of your target audience, it's important to consider if it's actually valid criticism. it's like watching a horror movie, knowing its genre, and then rating it a 0/10 because you hate horror, lmao...
sorry for the rant, it's just that i personally enjoy this content, but there's so little of it, and it's extra discouraging when authors constantly get these comments from people virtue-signaling after CHOOSING to ignore the warnings. btw, you rarely see these people virtue-signaling under dark content made for straight men, which makes me wonder if some misogyny is at play here (people being less accepting of women being sexual and being into taboo things).
with that being said, i wanted to say that your vn is honestly one of my favourite yandere vns i've ever read (and i think i've read all of them lol). this sort of content is sorely needed. it's well written, and impressively varied in how many niches it fills. it seems you're just one person, and the amount of effort and work you've put into this is genuinely amazing. you've done double the work that most devs do in years. well done. i really mean it. you're doing great, and evidently a lot of people are very happy with your work too. so don't be discouraged! keep up the good work.
No negativity, but read about fetishes. Some women actually like such scenarios in their bedroom or in their fantasies... And the "yandere" genre exists for a reason ;)
also a rape victim, in fact i have a 6 year old and none of the 3 men were identified. everyone reacts to situations differently. they gave warnings so if people don't heed them then what else can they do? i choose to not let one night define who i am and tend to enjoy people who aren't afraid to write things that others would find offensive. thats what diversity of thought is and visual novels are nothing but other peoples stories in a game mode. they can write it however they want and id actually like the game less if they went walked on eggshells thinking it would be offensive. personally if you think its too much then just go find something else. and dont speak for all victims

Delmar is the gentle manipulator. He's soft spoken, and warm. He seems to be empathetic too. However he's duo faced. He's got a darker side to him. So on the surface he's rather kind, but he's very calculated. He tries to coax you into trusting him, to enforce sort of obedience?
His traits..
Coaxing/comforting is his manipulation weapon. He uses that to guide you where he wants you.
He does so by lowering your guard, aiming to make submission come more naturally, getting you to do it on your own.
He acts empathetic towards you, using touch, comfort, and given he wants you, he takes on a more loving role in manipulation too.
He focuses on calming the situation, nerves through a tight hug gentle kisses. Acting as if he's a lover. His grip is extremely tight making it very hard to even push or pull away.
Height as in how tall? I think between 5,9 and 6,1 ;) specific but not super tall ;) Lorian would be 6,3.
As for personality... Dreagan is kind of a silent figure often counts on Delmar to manipulate if he knows the person won't be responsive, while Delmar manipulates with comfort and touch.

He's also pretty observant, when Delmar manipulates he'll tend to wait for the best moment to step in.
He's somewhat loyal or was loyal to Lorian. Up until the idea of actually leaving joker has arrived.
Although he likes the joker kingdom. he and Delmar want to experience life outside joker. And possibly go as unaffiliated or to spades(everyone sees spades as the safe haven. Given the ruler is the dormouse, Milo, he's considured to be pretty forgiving, and doesn't mind taking in others)
THIS GAME IS AMAZING. (spoilers ahead so scroll away if u haven't played yet)
the world building is so cool its like nothing ive seen before. very mysterious atmosphere but i really like it. my fave at the moment is warren because i love a "guardian" type of LI :D also nice to know he won't lie without being punished lololol makes him the easily most trustworthy which i LOOOVE. i love when yanderes are very honest with their intentions it is merely their actions which make them dangerous.
nox is interesting b/c of the whole rule of half truth half lie. it made me constantly try and decipher what was honest and what wasn't. milo randomly showing up made everything more interesting (im gonna probably say interesting like a thousand times, idk i cant think a better word LOL). i love throuple romances so very excited if true LOL
AND THE JOKER PRISON IDEA IS SO COOL AAAA. u are a very smart author i fw u. lorian is an elusive character just like nox, but i enjoy his storyline more. the insistence to "let go" was fun to watch. honestly, he made a lot of sense on why the protag should stay (basically he is an amazing manipulator and gaslighter LOL). i felt that his infatuation with the protag was born out of love more than wanting a "pet" but ofc i recognize his way of love is v twisted. i like the push and pull between cruel but kind too. keeps me on my toes lolol.
Octavius was a fun route too. random but the protag FINALLY pulled out her phone and i was wondering the entire time playing this game where her phone was at LOL but i digress. WHAT A COOL CONCEPT TO MAKE THE PROTAG'S HOME BE AN HOSPITAL INSTEAD. like all the guys in this game (except maybe warren but ofc we'll see) they are professional gaslighters and Octavius def uses this to his advantage. its fascinating how much he is obsessed with the protag "consenting" to the treatment when we all know that it's impossible in the current circumstances.
in all, i love the concept that all these characters are trying to sway you not to trust the other ones. it makes me wanna figure out wtf is going on, and why they hate each other. also, it provides a lot of entertainment value LOL (i love drama). similarly, why are they are so insistent in making the protag submit?? protag u are special apparently because they are all acting crazy for u sis. also, i looove all the sex scenes they are very enjoyable to read. plz continue i love this game :D !
;) taking a break from adding the next route to add a chapter 2 or maybe multiple chapters? I actually have 1/3 of octavius chapter 2 ready as of yesterday lmao! With no real art needed to be done in the second chapters aside from CGs, though I may add more poses ;), wow things will be finished fast. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The twins were also a route too, incase you missed them. ;) all in all there are currently 4 perusable characters and the twins (3p route) from the 5 chapter ones. ;) and yes, wonderland is a really chaotic place. I figured it would be more fun to make the world in a more modern setting as an almost mirror world that changes as time goes on.

I like this game a LOT. It's the game that is my favorite and that I'm most excited for at the moment!
This game gives me a feeling that I rarely get from otome and yandere games. I think it's because the entire thing is so blatantly dark, adult and intense. It is not toned down at all. I greatly adore that.
The characters are all very unique. They cater to specific tastes and kinks, some of which are quite uncommon, and that's wonderful. They're unhinged in a way that massively appeals to me. I don't think I've seen many yanderes Crazier than these ones. The worldbuilding is really fun and interesting, too.
I've spent hours playing and replaying this game, and I highly recommend it if you're not averse to anything in the warning!
(spoilers below)
Here comes my more detailed thoughts. First I want to talk about the sprites. The designs of each character are so unique and creative, and fit them so well. I love the differences in the outfits and colours. Many of the characters have a lot of darkness around their eyes, which I think is iconic and fits the dark and grungy environment of Wonderland a lot. The makeup on Lorian's face is so cute, and the insignias are really cool as well. My favorite sprite is probably Lorian's smile, he looks so harmless, in contrast to how he acts.
The frequent expression changes and the fact that they blink really helps make them feel alive! One cool moment is when Nox and Warren were talking in the tunnels, and Nox has a sprite that looks between you and Warren. That was SO COOL and made him feel so alive. It added so much immersion for me.
I know art is really hard to make, so I just know it must have took a really long time and a lot of effort to make all the character art. But the creator did such a good job!!! Everyone looks SO GOOD.
Now I'll talk about content. I mentioned it before but I really like that more uncommon kinks are included - things like medical play and dehumanization (and later hypnosis). I think there's not much content of these kinks in otome, and I'm so happy to see such niche kinks in a game!!!
I love the world in this game. A fantasy environment where everything is alien to you is my favorite, so it is right up my alley. I think "rules" and their consequences are so interesting, and the differences between all the kingdoms (the "parasitic" clover kingdom is most intriguing to me atm). It's just so fun to learn about and very much puts you in the shoes of the clueless mc. I love how the environments the characters bring you to are so different- a hospital, a prison, the diamond kingdom, I love experiencing all these places.
Something I wanted to mention is the choices that shake to show anxiety during tense and important decisions. It really adds to the mood and sense of pressure and fear. It's so cool.
About the characters themselves, they are Crazy with a capital C, in the best way. There's nothing normal about these guys, and I LOVE it. They are highly delusional, manipulative, obsessive, possessive and very clear about how they see you. They cross lines very quickly, have very little earthly common sense, are set in their ways and go to absolute extremes. I love that about them. Even so, each character offers a very different experience and treats you differently, and I've enjoyed playing all the routes so far!
Warren is my favorite, I like him so so much. I love reliable characters who convince me they're good for me and want what's best for me, while hiding their own selfish intentions. He's a very caring and comforting presence. I love the way he sneakily lies about taking me home, and how borderline reverent he becomes. I think about him often during daily life!
Lorian is my second favorite. I feel like he's clicker training me every time he says "good girl". He has my praise and exhibitionism kinks going crazy! My favorite quote from him is when he said he wanted "every broken piece" of the player, that was very warm and touching. I love his wavy text too, I think it fits him a lot as the joker king. Slightly off topic, but I think the song "rule 34" by Fish in a Birdcage fits him a lot. If the creator has any playlists for the characters or songs that gave inspiration, I'd love to hear them and add them to my own playlist!
Delmar and Dreagan are interesting too. I like the dynamic they have going on, how Dreagan's coldness pushes you towards Delmar, and how manipulative Delmar is taking advantage of your fear, desperation and sadness. I think the way they're going behind Lorian's back is going to cause some huge drama in the future... and I'm excited to see it.
All in all I love this game a LOT. I've replayed it multiple times because I enjoy it so much. I'm excited for what Cyrus and Harlan will be like!
I'm so impressed by the length of the routes and the fact that each character has a separate kidnapping and non kidnapping path. I'm also really impressed by the update schedule. The updates have been so frequent, and it must have taken so many hours of hard work. Having routes for the secret characters is exciting, but also very ambitious, and I hope it won't be too much to work on! Please don't burn yourself out! Take care of yourself!

I do intend to actually update models in the future too so it's not just their expressions that are moving but their arms are also doing things and maybe even their ears ;)
Currently I'm working on adding the chapters section to the game. To make it easier to read each section you would like. There are a lot of chapters lol. I'm glad you like the length too. Sometimes Im like... Is this too long?? But I always remind myself this is exactly the length I would want to read ;)
I also tell myself a lot of things like that when I make decisions. Fun debating whether I should have asked something because it's going to take a long time to do I tell myself if I was the reader would I be disappointed? Which lead me to write the additional warren smut scene rather than put a bit of a revamp ;)

I actually really liked Lorian and his cute (sometimes creepy) smiles... He's like Nox with a more commanding aura who seems like he'd actually care for the MC. So far to me he reads like someone who is used to people assuming the worst about him and is pretending to be what they expect.

Milo softens Nox's bratty controlling nature quite a lot, I appreciate the dynamic there! I don't mind his type of yandere so long as he starts to develop an actual attachment and looks after the MC... in other words hopefully he doesn't get bored like a cat and lose interest lol
I get why Warren seems to be a favorite in the comments. Right off the bat he's supportive and the delusional "of course you love me" type works well with his protective and devoted character (+ pretty white haired bunny man.)
Octavius is HOT, but he pisses me off sooo much! (I have a problem with authority figures bossing me around so it makes me want to argue with him shdjka) It's a complicated combination of emotions lol, but so long as he isn't only seeing the MC as an experiment I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy his route.
I look forward to romancing Caelus, he looks like he'd be right up my alley honestly, and Milo is cute too. I also love a feral man like Harlan. I'm still trying to figure out how to meet the Jabberwocky aa, but so far I've been interested in every character!
Each of them develop an odd attachment that becomes a bit more obsessive as time goes on ;) getting progressively more obsessed by the chapter.
Nox/milo dynamic is essentially the cat/mouse friendship. Milo is the dormouse ;) while yeah cats lose interest. Nox starts to change a lot in the future route. His route has a lot of objectification, and some body modification elements going forward. Mil is also a secret character. And will be a part of the slight revamp going forward.
Delmar and Dreagan ;) the good/bad cop manipulators lol. First time writing a scene like that heehee.
Lorians also got a pretty hard side to him. He has a control dynamic, he's obsessed with creating bets to completely monopolize you (games are a part of his rule)

Octavius is a VERY different character in the game (He NEEDS you, and is completely obsessed with you straight from the beginning. He wants you to be 100% reliant on him, making him very authoritative. Its also part of enforcing his rule.)
Cealus is a big character too <3 (I'm not spoiling much on him though ;) )

secret characters will have a branch off the main routes, while it might start with an affair of some kind, as those characters decide to pursue/monopolize you. eventually leading to sometimes death(male lead death)/second kidnapping/or some other scenario. Into a new route ;).
As for the upcoming characters:
Cyrus is a very detached character(hes super handsome too), he's very cold, evil, insect-like in a way, Id like to say he's a parasite? hes mentioned a bit in the story, signifying the fear the other characters have of him. It makes him, one of the big antagonists, he relies on hypnosis, wanting to use you for war and to break rules.
as for Harlan...
Harlan, broke his rule too much, and is essentially on the verge of going insane, he's developed a more animalistic sense of mind, desperate for a lifelong mate. only issue is male calicos cannot breed, so having kids is not going to happen, all the fun and no kids, he's sterile(poor guy). Harlan's a real mental case/completely obsessed, I did half complete his route to some extent(his kidnapping scene is already done and his art is partially finished).

I did notice something in Warren's route tho, like i think the smut scenes may be switched? Because if you get yourself poisoned, Warren tells Nox you're his lover, and Nox wants to piss him off by kissing your cheek. This does come back in one of the smut scenes, however, it's when you don't get poisoned and still have a chance to go into other routes. At least I'm assuming sex against the door would be when you're alright, and Warren's a bit more soft and possessive, trying to erase Nox's touch when you are more helpless, but if im wrong then my bad, i still love the game to bits.
Another thing in his route is in the same smut scene where he's trying to get rid off Nox's touch, when he asks you if it's your first time and you confirm it, at first he asks "No one?" then his expression shifts and says "So someone's touched you before." and continues to talk like you have been with someone before him. Not sure if it's deliberate and he just doesn't believe you or a mistake, thought I ask lol
There's also a brief problem with Nox and Octavius, the game not finding the image at one point, but it quickly gets back on track, so it's not really that bothersome.
Either way, a super nice game, thank you so much for letting us play<3 Caelus' design is so captivating and my god Warren lying and getting waaay too horny I love it lmao

forked tongue is the name of Nox's rule, If he gives information as a guide, he provides a truth and a lie. All the rules have their own titles, the lore book at the top of the screen will display them
I didn't expect to find Octavius to be my most favorite, holy sh*t.
I used to prefer Nox over Warren since there was a more interesting dynamic in his route, but Octavius hit different to me.... He is a control freak but also cheeky, even cheeky more than Nox, and easier to lose his composer. THX YOU FOR THIS UPDATE SRLY!!!!!
Setting up the next guy, getting closer to being done, but he's if I can describe him, a mix of Lord Caelus and Octavius ;) handsome purple haired dude in uniform, also a lot of dirty in that route so its strictly an R18 route. As there's a lot of story in those smut scenes. 2 slight smut scenes and one full smut ;)
Octavius is my personal favorite too ;) He is full on obsessed right from the start. and a petty little brat LOL

Game felt like falling thought the rabbit hole and getting tossed into adult wonderland blind. enjoyably written. I do have some complaints but most could be marked up to the game not being finished. things like missing assets and the like.
However there is one major complaint that pulled me out of the game. It has a They/them pronoun option and yet the came continues to refer to the MC as she/her in quite a few places even if it is selected. It feels kinda upsetting the longer i played. i would rather the game commited to a female only MC then dangle the option only to not respect it. it may be an editing issue but it bothered me a bit.
I'm aware of the issue, I'm super sorry for that! I'm actually having difficulty finding it in the code! Do you know where you may have seen that? I never meant to offend at all! Which is why I put the pronoun option so other could enjoy it. I'm hoping I can find this before the next update. But so far everything in the code seems aligned so It's been a huge problem to locate.
I didn't intend to half ass it. But at least I have a little bit of help now with the game. (I'm a solo dev, so coding art, story has been done mostly alone)
thats cool i didn't think it was it was intended but it did confuse/jerk me out of the expernce in a couple of place. I didn't think it was intentional. still rated the game highly. ^^ I noticed it going down Nox's route mostly, if that helps narrow it down.

Caelus.......oml. I thought Warren would be my #1 but now this new guy?!?!?! OMGGG!!! That being said, reading Warren's route so far has been so enjoyable. While the first smut was good, the second one (where you avoid the haze) had to be even better. The dirty talk was A+++++++. I also really liked the ability to specify whether or not you're a virgin T__T Thank u.... Also, I'm so curious about who it is that was speaking to our character in that tunnel. Aaaa! I can't wait for the next update! <3

Wow I love this game, you've done a fantastic job with the storyline and world-building. I'm so invested already! Unfortunately I think the chapter navigation is broken (at least in the Windows free version). I was only able to play Warren's first chapter. Nothing else was accessible. Will this be fixed soon?

This game is great, I kept playing for hours. The choices really matter, and all the characters are interesting and complexes. Keep up the good work! I will definitely buy it with more updates.

This is so good! I love Nox and I can't wait for the next update. In the time being does anyone have any recommendations for anything similar, doesn't need to be from Itch io? There are so many VNs on here that claim to be some sort od really hardcore dark romance but end up being the most basic vanilla sht I've ever seen

i can only think of three other games that are similar and the rate of progress on them is .... concerning. forcefully yours has a free demo on here with a lot of content, but unfortunately the dev has been missing for a few years now. i played the demo for sterile desires when it was free and it was definitely dark (there's non-con), but the demo now costs $10 (i think it's a full chapter) and they haven't even updated it on itchio in a year and a half. i don't want to criticise anybody for how they choose to value their work, but personally, i wouldn't want to pay that much for an incomplete demo and no assurance that i'd ever even get a complete product. there's also "yours game" which also has non-con, but it's a short demo and also hasn't been updated for a while. all that to say, we're definitely being spoiled by soapinsoup xD
since you said you're looking for dark romance, i'm assuming you dont want a pure horrorporn murdersim like boyfriend to death. if, however. you're looking for a murdersim with yanderes, you can try the two games by mr fishess. courtin' cowboys is about $9 for the full game. you can see the warnings on the game page and decide if it's up your alley. if i recall correctly, two of the characters are yanderes. the other characters are either normal or just sadistic/psychos. there's a ton of content and many endings, so it's definitely worth the price imo. lovers trophy is $2 and has a lot less content, and i think only one of the two male leads is actually a yandere (the brunet guy). this game does have a demo if you wanna try it first.
if you want something EVEN DARKER to the point there's technically no romance and it's pure horror (but it's still starring a yandere), you can try wh4t 1 w0ulndt d0, which is free. there's also fall into prayer, which is super short but also more dark in overall theme.

Short stories were small concept stories when I developed the main characters. Just some fluff and cute stuff, even interaction stories (exploring relationship dynamics between two of the characters)
I intend to add quite a few. <3 to make it worth the small pricetag.
Oh yes and no murdersim, more or less it's forced pleasure ;) the only deaths that may occur is between yanderes

You should try Theory of Fear, it's very similar in terms of intensity and yandere characters, it also has a lot of hot scenes.
There is Theory of Fear, it used to be on Steam but it's been banned in my country, not sure if it's available for other countries. When you find it somewhere, you might enjoy it.
It's the darkest visual novel I played so far, there are several levels of non-con and violence. It's also explicit.

I put the tags there for that reason, also that this is fictional, I was also a victim myself at one point when a date put their hands on me a decade ago. It wasn't easy, but I had to deal with things in a my own way, I do not recommend it to a rape victim AT ALL, this game does not represent what happens in reality it's pure fiction.
The game is a mix of rape/dubious consent where it becomes a twisted love in some way. It's meant to cater to the act of forced love as a fetish, and not to represent the extreme act of rape as a whole. These guys would all be in jail if they were real people.
Real rape I do not condone, it's horrible, and wrong.
I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone who forced into those situations in real life. The approach is meant to be different in the sense, for those interested in yanderes, obsessive love.
It's a chapter undergoing modifications. It's not really meant too have jokes, Octavius is extremely petty. Abnormally so, I can focus on making him a bit darker if that's what everyone wants.
This is the second comment I got in one day about it the exact same thing. so this situation actually has me super frustrated that it's upsetting a bunch of people all at the same time. It's a bit difficult to deal with. I don't have a team of people to consult with since I'm just one person doing everything. So I'll need to reconsidure my position on the game.

Please, author, don't reconsider anything. Just listen what your instincts and inspiration are telling you. Art under external pressure is no longer art. It will sound trite, but create what your heart tells you, and don't break under pressure from people who have different views, especially if they can't distinguish fiction from real life. Games like yours should be our safe space, where artists can express themselves and we, the readers, cam indulge our fetishes, and not be lectured.

there's nothing wrong with the way you've depicted anything -- this is a dark fantasy and it's by definition going to be unrealistic. of course the mc isn't going to behave like an irl victim. it wouldnt be fetish content if they did, it'd be horror.
fetish content is a safe way for people to indulge in the fantasies that they have. for many people, these fantasies are born from trauma -- hence why it's harmful to generalise by saying this content harms victims. no group of people is a monolith. although this content can be triggering to some victims, there are equally valid victims who actually consume it to help reclaim their power and to process their trauma. the reader has the choice to not read if they know it has the potential to harm them. as a writer, your only responsibility is to provide ample warning, which you do.
REAL ABUSERS harm victims, not fiction. just like real murderers harm people, not slasher horror movies. are you a psychopath if you enjoy slasher movies? no, of course not. it's interesting how people understand there's a difference between fantasy/fiction and reality in most things, but not when it comes to sexual fantasies.
fantasies are fantasy for a reason. the reader understands it isn't real, they understand it's just fiction and an unrealistic/fetishised depiction of events. they know they're safe, they consented by choosing to read (and they can stop at any time). they know it would be immoral for these things to happen irl (and they dont want to engage in these things irl), and that the victim wouldn't behave the way depicted.
if they don't understand these things, then that's not your fault. they have a personal responsibility of not consuming media that they arent capable of handling, especially when they read the trigger warnings and chose to ignore them apparently. you cant babysit people on the internet. just focus on making the content that you want to make, and that you know your target audience (the people who like darker content) actually like.
when you get criticism from anyone who isnt a part of your target audience, it's important to consider if it's actually valid criticism. it's like watching a horror movie, knowing its genre, and then rating it a 0/10 because you hate horror, lmao...
sorry for the rant, it's just that i personally enjoy this content, but there's so little of it, and it's extra discouraging when authors constantly get these comments from people virtue-signaling after CHOOSING to ignore the warnings. btw, you rarely see these people virtue-signaling under dark content made for straight men, which makes me wonder if some misogyny is at play here (people being less accepting of women being sexual and being into taboo things).
with that being said, i wanted to say that your vn is honestly one of my favourite yandere vns i've ever read (and i think i've read all of them lol). this sort of content is sorely needed. it's well written, and impressively varied in how many niches it fills. it seems you're just one person, and the amount of effort and work you've put into this is genuinely amazing. you've done double the work that most devs do in years. well done. i really mean it. you're doing great, and evidently a lot of people are very happy with your work too. so don't be discouraged! keep up the good work.

Delmar is the gentle manipulator. He's soft spoken, and warm. He seems to be empathetic too. However he's duo faced. He's got a darker side to him. So on the surface he's rather kind, but he's very calculated. He tries to coax you into trusting him, to enforce sort of obedience?
His traits..
Coaxing/comforting is his manipulation weapon. He uses that to guide you where he wants you.
He does so by lowering your guard, aiming to make submission come more naturally, getting you to do it on your own.
He acts empathetic towards you, using touch, comfort, and given he wants you, he takes on a more loving role in manipulation too.
He focuses on calming the situation, nerves through a tight hug gentle kisses. Acting as if he's a lover. His grip is extremely tight making it very hard to even push or pull away.
He makes escaping him hard.

Although he likes the joker kingdom. he and Delmar want to experience life outside joker. And possibly go as unaffiliated or to spades(everyone sees spades as the safe haven. Given the ruler is the dormouse, Milo, he's considured to be pretty forgiving, and doesn't mind taking in others)

THIS GAME IS AMAZING. (spoilers ahead so scroll away if u haven't played yet)
the world building is so cool its like nothing ive seen before. very mysterious atmosphere but i really like it. my fave at the moment is warren because i love a "guardian" type of LI :D also nice to know he won't lie without being punished lololol makes him the easily most trustworthy which i LOOOVE. i love when yanderes are very honest with their intentions it is merely their actions which make them dangerous.
nox is interesting b/c of the whole rule of half truth half lie. it made me constantly try and decipher what was honest and what wasn't. milo randomly showing up made everything more interesting (im gonna probably say interesting like a thousand times, idk i cant think a better word LOL). i love throuple romances so very excited if true LOL
AND THE JOKER PRISON IDEA IS SO COOL AAAA. u are a very smart author i fw u. lorian is an elusive character just like nox, but i enjoy his storyline more. the insistence to "let go" was fun to watch. honestly, he made a lot of sense on why the protag should stay (basically he is an amazing manipulator and gaslighter LOL). i felt that his infatuation with the protag was born out of love more than wanting a "pet" but ofc i recognize his way of love is v twisted. i like the push and pull between cruel but kind too. keeps me on my toes lolol.
Octavius was a fun route too. random but the protag FINALLY pulled out her phone and i was wondering the entire time playing this game where her phone was at LOL but i digress. WHAT A COOL CONCEPT TO MAKE THE PROTAG'S HOME BE AN HOSPITAL INSTEAD. like all the guys in this game (except maybe warren but ofc we'll see) they are professional gaslighters and Octavius def uses this to his advantage. its fascinating how much he is obsessed with the protag "consenting" to the treatment when we all know that it's impossible in the current circumstances.
in all, i love the concept that all these characters are trying to sway you not to trust the other ones. it makes me wanna figure out wtf is going on, and why they hate each other. also, it provides a lot of entertainment value LOL (i love drama). similarly, why are they are so insistent in making the protag submit?? protag u are special apparently because they are all acting crazy for u sis. also, i looove all the sex scenes they are very enjoyable to read. plz continue i love this game :D !
;) taking a break from adding the next route to add a chapter 2 or maybe multiple chapters? I actually have 1/3 of octavius chapter 2 ready as of yesterday lmao! With no real art needed to be done in the second chapters aside from CGs, though I may add more poses ;), wow things will be finished fast. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The twins were also a route too, incase you missed them. ;) all in all there are currently 4 perusable characters and the twins (3p route) from the 5 chapter ones. ;) and yes, wonderland is a really chaotic place. I figured it would be more fun to make the world in a more modern setting as an almost mirror world that changes as time goes on.

I like this game a LOT. It's the game that is my favorite and that I'm most excited for at the moment!
This game gives me a feeling that I rarely get from otome and yandere games. I think it's because the entire thing is so blatantly dark, adult and intense. It is not toned down at all. I greatly adore that.
The characters are all very unique. They cater to specific tastes and kinks, some of which are quite uncommon, and that's wonderful. They're unhinged in a way that massively appeals to me. I don't think I've seen many yanderes Crazier than these ones. The worldbuilding is really fun and interesting, too.
I've spent hours playing and replaying this game, and I highly recommend it if you're not averse to anything in the warning!
(spoilers below)
Here comes my more detailed thoughts. First I want to talk about the sprites. The designs of each character are so unique and creative, and fit them so well. I love the differences in the outfits and colours. Many of the characters have a lot of darkness around their eyes, which I think is iconic and fits the dark and grungy environment of Wonderland a lot. The makeup on Lorian's face is so cute, and the insignias are really cool as well. My favorite sprite is probably Lorian's smile, he looks so harmless, in contrast to how he acts.
The frequent expression changes and the fact that they blink really helps make them feel alive! One cool moment is when Nox and Warren were talking in the tunnels, and Nox has a sprite that looks between you and Warren. That was SO COOL and made him feel so alive. It added so much immersion for me.
I know art is really hard to make, so I just know it must have took a really long time and a lot of effort to make all the character art. But the creator did such a good job!!! Everyone looks SO GOOD.
Now I'll talk about content. I mentioned it before but I really like that more uncommon kinks are included - things like medical play and dehumanization (and later hypnosis). I think there's not much content of these kinks in otome, and I'm so happy to see such niche kinks in a game!!!
I love the world in this game. A fantasy environment where everything is alien to you is my favorite, so it is right up my alley. I think "rules" and their consequences are so interesting, and the differences between all the kingdoms (the "parasitic" clover kingdom is most intriguing to me atm). It's just so fun to learn about and very much puts you in the shoes of the clueless mc. I love how the environments the characters bring you to are so different- a hospital, a prison, the diamond kingdom, I love experiencing all these places.
Something I wanted to mention is the choices that shake to show anxiety during tense and important decisions. It really adds to the mood and sense of pressure and fear. It's so cool.
About the characters themselves, they are Crazy with a capital C, in the best way. There's nothing normal about these guys, and I LOVE it. They are highly delusional, manipulative, obsessive, possessive and very clear about how they see you. They cross lines very quickly, have very little earthly common sense, are set in their ways and go to absolute extremes. I love that about them. Even so, each character offers a very different experience and treats you differently, and I've enjoyed playing all the routes so far!
Warren is my favorite, I like him so so much. I love reliable characters who convince me they're good for me and want what's best for me, while hiding their own selfish intentions. He's a very caring and comforting presence. I love the way he sneakily lies about taking me home, and how borderline reverent he becomes. I think about him often during daily life!
Lorian is my second favorite. I feel like he's clicker training me every time he says "good girl". He has my praise and exhibitionism kinks going crazy! My favorite quote from him is when he said he wanted "every broken piece" of the player, that was very warm and touching. I love his wavy text too, I think it fits him a lot as the joker king. Slightly off topic, but I think the song "rule 34" by Fish in a Birdcage fits him a lot. If the creator has any playlists for the characters or songs that gave inspiration, I'd love to hear them and add them to my own playlist!
Delmar and Dreagan are interesting too. I like the dynamic they have going on, how Dreagan's coldness pushes you towards Delmar, and how manipulative Delmar is taking advantage of your fear, desperation and sadness. I think the way they're going behind Lorian's back is going to cause some huge drama in the future... and I'm excited to see it.
All in all I love this game a LOT. I've replayed it multiple times because I enjoy it so much. I'm excited for what Cyrus and Harlan will be like!
I'm so impressed by the length of the routes and the fact that each character has a separate kidnapping and non kidnapping path. I'm also really impressed by the update schedule. The updates have been so frequent, and it must have taken so many hours of hard work. Having routes for the secret characters is exciting, but also very ambitious, and I hope it won't be too much to work on! Please don't burn yourself out! Take care of yourself!

Plus wonderland is full of crazy characters. Adding lorian was my own original character. I figured having a prison route would be a lot of fun.
I do intend to actually update models in the future too so it's not just their expressions that are moving but their arms are also doing things and maybe even their ears ;)
Currently I'm working on adding the chapters section to the game. To make it easier to read each section you would like. There are a lot of chapters lol. I'm glad you like the length too. Sometimes Im like... Is this too long?? But I always remind myself this is exactly the length I would want to read ;)
I also tell myself a lot of things like that when I make decisions. Fun debating whether I should have asked something because it's going to take a long time to do I tell myself if I was the reader would I be disappointed? Which lead me to write the additional warren smut scene rather than put a bit of a revamp ;)

Wonderland is a perfect choice for the setting! Anything is possible, and the characters and kinks can be as varied and bizarre as you want. Nothing makes sense, so anything makes sense.
You were totally right, the prison route is really fun <3 Thank you for making Lorian, I adore him.
Moving models sounds really impressive and immersive but also super difficult!!!!! I know I'd die if I had to make that! I wish you luck with that in the future but I think we'd all understand if it turns out too time-consuming!

I could never be disappointed even if something couldn't be included, because I know it's very hard to make such a big game. You have great tastes, though, because I definitely enjoyed and regularly revisit both of Warren's smut scenes :)

I actually really liked Lorian and his cute (sometimes creepy) smiles... He's like Nox with a more commanding aura who seems like he'd actually care for the MC. So far to me he reads like someone who is used to people assuming the worst about him and is pretending to be what they expect.

Milo softens Nox's bratty controlling nature quite a lot, I appreciate the dynamic there! I don't mind his type of yandere so long as he starts to develop an actual attachment and looks after the MC... in other words hopefully he doesn't get bored like a cat and lose interest lol
I get why Warren seems to be a favorite in the comments. Right off the bat he's supportive and the delusional "of course you love me" type works well with his protective and devoted character (+ pretty white haired bunny man.)
Octavius is HOT, but he pisses me off sooo much! (I have a problem with authority figures bossing me around so it makes me want to argue with him shdjka) It's a complicated combination of emotions lol, but so long as he isn't only seeing the MC as an experiment I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy his route.
I look forward to romancing Caelus, he looks like he'd be right up my alley honestly, and Milo is cute too. I also love a feral man like Harlan. I'm still trying to figure out how to meet the Jabberwocky aa, but so far I've been interested in every character!

Each of them develop an odd attachment that becomes a bit more obsessive as time goes on ;) getting progressively more obsessed by the chapter.
Nox/milo dynamic is essentially the cat/mouse friendship. Milo is the dormouse ;) while yeah cats lose interest. Nox starts to change a lot in the future route. His route has a lot of objectification, and some body modification elements going forward. Mil is also a secret character. And will be a part of the slight revamp going forward.
Delmar and Dreagan ;) the good/bad cop manipulators lol. First time writing a scene like that heehee.
Lorians also got a pretty hard side to him. He has a control dynamic, he's obsessed with creating bets to completely monopolize you (games are a part of his rule)
Yeah Warrens the protective yandere ;)
Octavius is a VERY different character in the game (He NEEDS you, and is completely obsessed with you straight from the beginning. He wants you to be 100% reliant on him, making him very authoritative. Its also part of enforcing his rule.)
Cealus is a big character too <3 (I'm not spoiling much on him though ;) )

Octavius is a bit hard to find though. (VERY specific choices, No idea if anyone has actually encountered him yet, but I still need to add the CG of him next update lol, he's meant to be abnormally hard to locate)

Lorians route is the first route that contains 2 smut scenes that includes one with the secret characters. ;) plus there will be some interactivity in the smut too.
wow everything you've outlined sounds super exciting!! can you tell me more about what kind of yanderes cyrus and harlan are?? also, do the secret characters have their own endings/routes or are they just side characters that have smut scenes? i believe i found the octavius scene btw ^^ not to spoil much but i got the scene right before the demo ends in octavius' route! thank you so much for the awesome game, its clear you've put so much effort into it and its definitely paid off. i especially love the edition of lore files. looking forward to seeing more!
secret characters will have a branch off the main routes, while it might start with an affair of some kind, as those characters decide to pursue/monopolize you. eventually leading to sometimes death(male lead death)/second kidnapping/or some other scenario. Into a new route ;).
As for the upcoming characters:
Cyrus is a very detached character(hes super handsome too), he's very cold, evil, insect-like in a way, Id like to say he's a parasite? hes mentioned a bit in the story, signifying the fear the other characters have of him. It makes him, one of the big antagonists, he relies on hypnosis, wanting to use you for war and to break rules.
as for Harlan...
Harlan, broke his rule too much, and is essentially on the verge of going insane, he's developed a more animalistic sense of mind, desperate for a lifelong mate. only issue is male calicos cannot breed, so having kids is not going to happen, all the fun and no kids, he's sterile(poor guy). Harlan's a real mental case/completely obsessed, I did half complete his route to some extent(his kidnapping scene is already done and his art is partially finished).

Omg im so glad i found this game, it's so cool!! And yeah, Warren lover here as well lmao, but i love the others too and so looking forward for more, great job and thank you for making it!
I did notice something in Warren's route tho, like i think the smut scenes may be switched? Because if you get yourself poisoned, Warren tells Nox you're his lover, and Nox wants to piss him off by kissing your cheek. This does come back in one of the smut scenes, however, it's when you don't get poisoned and still have a chance to go into other routes. At least I'm assuming sex against the door would be when you're alright, and Warren's a bit more soft and possessive, trying to erase Nox's touch when you are more helpless, but if im wrong then my bad, i still love the game to bits.
Another thing in his route is in the same smut scene where he's trying to get rid off Nox's touch, when he asks you if it's your first time and you confirm it, at first he asks "No one?" then his expression shifts and says "So someone's touched you before." and continues to talk like you have been with someone before him. Not sure if it's deliberate and he just doesn't believe you or a mistake, thought I ask lol
There's also a brief problem with Nox and Octavius, the game not finding the image at one point, but it quickly gets back on track, so it's not really that bothersome.
Either way, a super nice game, thank you so much for letting us play<3 Caelus' design is so captivating and my god Warren lying and getting waaay too horny I love it lmao
I will double check this, I figured I was careful with it when I wrote it out! Next update is in the works so I'll make sure these will all be fixed if it is not. forked tongue is the name of Nox's rule, If he gives information as a guide, he provides a truth and a lie. All the rules have their own titles, the lore book at the top of the screen will display them
I didn't expect to find Octavius to be my most favorite, holy sh*t.
I used to prefer Nox over Warren since there was a more interesting dynamic in his route, but Octavius hit different to me.... He is a control freak but also cheeky, even cheeky more than Nox, and easier to lose his composer. THX YOU FOR THIS UPDATE SRLY!!!!!
Setting up the next guy, getting closer to being done, but he's if I can describe him, a mix of Lord Caelus and Octavius ;) handsome purple haired dude in uniform, also a lot of dirty in that route so its strictly an R18 route. As there's a lot of story in those smut scenes. 2 slight smut scenes and one full smut ;)
Octavius is my personal favorite too ;) He is full on obsessed right from the start. and a petty little brat LOL

The game is updated, but you can find his route by not slapping Nox, then following Nox, then choosing to head home.
If you are having trouble opening the game
Open privacy settings
Click ‘open anyway’

Game felt like falling thought the rabbit hole and getting tossed into adult wonderland blind. enjoyably written. I do have some complaints but most could be marked up to the game not being finished. things like missing assets and the like.
However there is one major complaint that pulled me out of the game. It has a They/them pronoun option and yet the came continues to refer to the MC as she/her in quite a few places even if it is selected. It feels kinda upsetting the longer i played. i would rather the game commited to a female only MC then dangle the option only to not respect it. it may be an editing issue but it bothered me a bit.
I'm aware of the issue, I'm super sorry for that! I'm actually having difficulty finding it in the code! Do you know where you may have seen that? I never meant to offend at all! Which is why I put the pronoun option so other could enjoy it. I'm hoping I can find this before the next update. But so far everything in the code seems aligned so It's been a huge problem to locate.
I didn't intend to half ass it. But at least I have a little bit of help now with the game. (I'm a solo dev, so coding art, story has been done mostly alone)
thats cool i didn't think it was it was intended but it did confuse/jerk me out of the expernce in a couple of place. I didn't think it was intentional. still rated the game highly. ^^ I noticed it going down Nox's route mostly, if that helps narrow it down.

Caelus.......oml. I thought Warren would be my #1 but now this new guy?!?!?! OMGGG!!! That being said, reading Warren's route so far has been so enjoyable. While the first smut was good, the second one (where you avoid the haze) had to be even better. The dirty talk was A+++++++. I also really liked the ability to specify whether or not you're a virgin T__T Thank u.... Also, I'm so curious about who it is that was speaking to our character in that tunnel. Aaaa! I can't wait for the next update! <3

warrens scnene kinda had to have 2 ;) one if you breath in the haze, the second if you continue to follow him the regular way. just don't slap nox and you'll find the second smut scene :)
